About this place
Just off the south exit of Tokiwadai Station on the Tobu Tojo Line, ENISHI is a standing bar where patrons can unwind with a drink in hand without standing on ceremony. There is no cover charge, making it easy to drop in spontaneously, and stepping through the entrance typically reveals an approachable master and the relaxed chatter of neighborhood regulars.
The beverage selection covers considerable ground, highlighted by lively sours like punch lemon, Otoko Ume plum, green apple, and shikuwasa citrus. Refreshing tea highballs are just as prominent, offering not only standard green tea and oolong options but also jasmine highballs and a crisp Java tea highball. Draft Sapporo Black Label, Hoegaarden White, Kakubin highballs, and traditional shochu are also on hand, making it simple to find a pour that matches the mood.
To accompany the drinks, grilled sausages such as the well-received standard frankfurter, coarse-ground frankfurter, and jumbo sausage hit the spot. Slower-simmered dishes like offal stew and miso-braised beef tendon sit alongside quick bites such as tako wasabi and squid with spicy cod roe, letting guests order small plates drink by drink.
Orders are paid on the spot using a ticket vending machine or QR codes like PayPay, keeping the tab straightforward and pressure-free. Open from 18:00 in the evening until 0:00 at night, it is well suited for a quick detour after work or an unhurried nightcap over casual conversation.
